In December 2022, over 750 sqft of lawn & a non-native tree were replaced with various California native plants & cultivars featuring:​

• California native plants with an emphasis on suiting a small space 

• a dry pond of crane-placed boulders planted with grasses, rushes, & succulents (fed by a downspout during rain events)

• a single-zone, water-efficient irrigation system

• railroad tie steps from street parking to front entrance

• a Manzanita as the specimen centerpiece
