In Autumn 2019, around 2,000 sqft of dirt, lavender, & other non-native plants mostly replaced in favor of drought-tolerant, California native plants & cultivars featuring:

decomposed granite (DG) path with a swale underneath to slow water

river rocks along the driveway to prevent erosion

various boulders placed throughout the garden
