San Diego Barrel Cactus is a small, evergreen cactus that grows slowly. It has pretty sharp thorns and nice yellow flowers. These can grow to a decent, football sized shape over many decades. Except them to be more like a tennis ball or baseball size.

In the garden these can be used along pathways and in rock gardens. Definitely more a collectors item. Can also be used in container gardening.
